WHAT HAS MALALA YOUSAFZAI DONE?

It's very unfortunate that we have become a part of the Anti-Malala conspiracy. Instead of digging out the facts and forming our own opinion, we find it easy to walk with the herd. We tend to believe in baseless theories and ridicule the facts because they lend us an opinion we do not have to work hard upon.

Many a times, I have heard people asking the same question: "What exactly has Malala Yousafzai done for Pakistan?"

Here I am listing down a few of her accomplishments for your enlightenment, hoping that it gives you a new lens to view her from.

She started writing blogs at the age of 11, highlighting the condemnation of education for women in Swat. It sounds simple, but it's not if there's a gun pointed to your head for you to shut up.

She worked for three good years for the educational rights of women while staying in Pakistan. Death threats never stopped.

Won many national and international awards while being in Pakistan and soon became a prominent personality.

Most of you may not have heard of her until she was finally shot and sent to a MILITARY hospital which asked her to be sent abroad for an operation. The military of Pakistan is the most trusted office, and we have a strong faith in our military.

Why was she sent abroad and not her friends? Here considering, Malala was the one getting death threats and not her friends. They were shot only to be scared and to set an example for others to learn and not follow the poor girl.

After moving abroad:

Malala represented Pakistan internationally as a Social Rights Advocate.

She was the youngest person ever to win a Nobel Prize. And she won it because she worked for a cause in Pakistan in an area that the Taliban dominated.

Malala is the youngest Ambassador of Peace in the world - straight outta Pakistan.

She founded a non-governmental organization called The Malala Fund and gave her a $45000 grant to facilitate education for women. The NGO is still working.

How could she possibly come to Pakistan if she gets death threats? You and I are safe, for we have not contributed a bit for our nation's glory. Certainly, no one has a reason to target us.

She is completing her education at an Oxford college not because she plans to come back to Pakistan and destroy us all but because she always wanted - Education. Her education is completely funded; we do not even spend a penny from our taxes for her personal gain.

Not every day do we see anything good coming out of Pakistan. If something does, we tarnish it by our pessimistic approach towards it. Malala, through all this time, has shown true zeal and patriotism by not speaking a word against her country despite being an easy target for hate and criticism, sometimes for meeting the richest celebrities and sometimes for her choice of dressing.

If you still believe that Malala Yousafzai is a part of a conspiracy against Pakistan after reading this, please find relevant evidence for your opinion.

For me, she is innocent until proven guilty.
